Its made up of an intricate network of Lymph vessels, Lymph fluid, Lymph nodes, Lymphoid organs, & Lymphatic tissue.
Massaging the body with our essentail oil blends helps activate the body’s inner “drainage system.” The network of blood vessels and lymph nodes which carry fluids from tissues around the body into the blood and vice versa. The primary function of the lymphatic system is to protect the body against infection, bacteria, and cancer cells, as well as to keep fluid levels in the body balanced.
When massaging essential oil blends in through the skin, their healing components are absorbed into the bloodstream. From there they disperse to the specific organs and systems on which they work. Some of the essential oils’ components, carried via the bloodstream, can also pass through the blood-brain barrier to the limbic system in the brain, where they can influence the endocrine and autonomic nervous systems.
We use essential oils medicinally to improve the health of the body, mind, and spirit. As it enhances both the physical and emotional body.
Please note that differnt % dillution are used in our blends to be used for each age-group, e.g for Adult 3% dillution, Teenages 2% dillution, - only to be used on the body, NOT on the face as skin in this area is too delicate.
If you would like a blend for a child please contact us and we can make a specific safe blend to your childs needs, as childrens skin is very delicate and due to there body weight/size we have to be very careful when appling essential oils....as many are contra-indicated due to toxicity in children.

Lavender:
- Properties: Soothing, calming, harmonizing, relaxing.
- Actions: Analgesic, anticulvulsive, antidepressant, antimicrobial, antirheumatic, antiseptic, antispasmodic, antitoxic, carminative, cholagogue, choleretic, cicatrisant, cordial, cytophylactic, deodorant, diuretic, emmenagogue, expectorant, hypotensive, insectacide, nervine, parasiticide, rubefacient, sedative, stimulant, sudorfic, tonic, vermifuge, vulnerary.cytophylactic, diuretic, emmenagogue, , haemostatic, tonic, vulnerary.
- Chinese medicine function: To activate the Qi, nourish the Yin, clear heat and calm the spirit.
- Contra Indications = No known contraindications.
Lemon:
- Properties: Stimulating, awakening, clarifying, uplifting.
- Actions: Anti-anaemic, antimicrobial, antirheumatic, antisclerotic, antiscorbutic, anti-acid, antiseptic, antispasmodic, antitoxic, antiviral, astringent, bactericidal, carmainative, cicatrisant, depurative, detoxifying, diaphoretic, diuretic, febrifuge, fungicidal, haemostatic, hypotensive, insecticidial, ubefacient, stimulates white coruscles, tonic, uplifting, vermifuge.
- Chinese medicine function: To regulate the Qi, resolve damp and strengthen the spirit.
- Contra Indications = is phototoxic and may cause sensitivity to sunlight if used on the skin, may irritate skin and thus used in low concentrations.
Lemongrass:
- Properties: Clarifying, uplifting, cooling.
- Actions: Analgesic, antidepressant, antimicrobial, anti-oxidant, antipyretic, antiseptic, astringent, bactericidal, carmanative, deodorant, febrifuge, fungicidal, galactagogue, insecticidal, nervine, sedative (nervous) tonic.
- Chinese medicine function: To activate the Qi, clear heat and calm the spirit.
- Contra Indications = possible dermal irritation in some individuals with sensitive skin – use with care.
Peppermint:
- Properties: Stimulating, uplifting, invigorating & energizing.
- Actions: Analgesic, antiseptic, antispasmodic, antiviral, carminative, cephalic, cooling, expectorant, febrifuge, stimulant, stomachic, tonic, uplifting, vasoconstrictor.
- Chinese medicine function: To activate the Qi, raise Yang Qi and strengthen the spirit.
- Contra Indications = Incompatible when taking homeopathic treatments as counteracts the effects. Not to be taken late in the day/evening by insomniacs since it refreshes the mind, waking you up.
Rosemary:
- Properties: Stimulating, warming, uplifting..
- Actions: Analgesic, antiseptic, antispasmodic, antiviral, astringent, cephalic, diuretic, emmenagogue, hypertensive, rubefacient, stimulant, tonic, uplifting.
- Chinese medicine function:To tonify the Qi, raise Yang Qi and strengthen the spirit.
- Contra Indications =not recommended during pregnancy, or if you have epilepsy or high blood pressure.
Roman Chamomile:
- Properties: Calming, cooling, harmonizing. Helps in Diabetes by effecting blood sugar levels ( monitor in order to avoid hypoglycaemic events), Circulation, Premature ejaculation
- Actions: Actions: Analgesic, anti-anaemic, antineuralgic, antiphlogistic, antidiarrheal, antiseptic, antispasmodic, antiviral, astringent, bactericidial, carminative, cholagogue, cicatristant, digestive, disinfectant, emmenagogue, febrifuge, hepatic, hypnotic, nerve sedative, stomachic, stimulant, sudorific, tonic, vermifuge, vulnerary.
- Chinese medicine function:To activate the Qi, descend Yang Qi and calm the spirit.
- Contra Indications = Stop using 2 weeks prior to any surgery as it may affect blood glucose levels during and post procedure.
